The answers are right in front of us. It’s time we focus the camera on them.
For years, Jay Jackson has had a front-row seat to Black brilliance. As a Lead Studio Camera Operator, Jay has worked on an impressive array of iconic youth programming and high-profile events. His credits include the Scripps National Spelling Bee, the Washington Informer Spelling Bee, BET’s Teen Summit, and WHUT PBS Kids’ Lummba’s Playhouse. He has also lent his talents to NBC 4’s It’s Academic—the world’s longest-running high school TV quiz show—and the HBCU Honors 2025, which was nominated for an Emmy last year. Through the lens of his camera, he watched the absolute brightest teenagers in the country showcase their intellect. But intellect without opportunity is a deferred dream. Jay realized that these brilliant kids had the minds to change the world, but lacked the capital and the seasoned experience to navigate the corporate landscape.
Young Greatness and Black was born to bridge that gap. The concept is unapologetically bold: bypass the traditional corporate ladder. Take these brilliant young minds, hand them high-revenue businesses, and surround them with Subject Matter Experts who serve as coaches, mentors, and guides. We are not just creating jobs; we are expanding Black ownership in the United States for the next generation.
At Young Greatness and Black (YGB), we are funding the future today, building a dramatically expanded landscape of Black ownership in the U.S.. Whether you have the brilliant intellect ready to lead a high-revenue business or the seasoned experience to serve as a strategic guide, this is where you step up.
